About Me

Hello!

I am Emery Kratchman, an aspiring filmmaker enrolled in Penn State's film program. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film Production, the Smeal Fundamentals Business Certificate, and a Sports Studies minor with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026.

I enjoyed watching television and movies as a child, and I have always aspired to be the person behind the camera or in front of it! During high school, I decided to continue my academic career, studying film at The Pennsylvania State University.

I have taken numerous courses at Penn State to enhance my understanding of filmmaking and its processes. I have also integrated my classroom learning into actual sets and productions, which has given me an even greater appreciation of the art of filmmaking.

I am incredibly passionate about filming anything I see, whether that is sports, nature, events, etc.

On campus, I work part-time as a Live Production Assistant with Penn State Athletics. As a Live Production Assistant, I either film courtside, ringside, or fieldside or am in the control room managing graphics, scoreboard, stats, Vis, etc.
